Cheer Mail: Little Boxes of Hope
When I was going through cancer, there were days when even the smallest gesture—a card in the mail, a thoughtful message, a cozy blanket—could shift my whole day. It reminded me I wasn’t alone.

That’s what inspired Cheer Mail—a heartfelt project I’m creating to deliver little boxes of comfort, encouragement, and joy to others walking through their own cancer journeys. Each box is filled with thoughtful items to bring light to dark days and remind the recipient that someone out there truly cares.
What’s Inside
Each Cheer Mail box is hand-packed with love and gentle intention. The contents may vary, but each one includes a mix of comfort, self-care, and hope:
- A handwritten note or encouragement card
- Cozy items like tea, socks, or candles
- A small journal or guided reflection
- A wellness or skincare gift (gentle and non-toxic)
- And a few cheerful surprises
Every box is designed to feel like a warm hug arriving right when it’s needed most.
Launching December 2025
The first round of Cheer Mail boxes will begin shipping in late December 2025, just in time for the holidays—a season that can feel especially heavy for those in treatment or recovery.
My goal is to deliver these boxes to both individuals and cancer support centers, starting locally here in Washington, and growing from there.
How You Can Help
If you’d like to be part of this mission, there are a few ways to support Cheer Mail:
- Donate a Box: Contribute funds to help cover the cost of one or more Cheer Mail boxes.
- Sponsor Items: Businesses and artisans are welcome to donate comforting or uplifting products to include.
- Spread the Word: Share this project with others who may want to give or receive Cheer Mail.
Every contribution—big or small—helps bring comfort and hope to someone who needs it most.
